Quasi-contract

Quasi-contract is a liability that is not stipulated by any given contract between parties, but is implied in law and therefore is imposed on this contract and its parties. It can also refer to a contract produced by the court in the case of a lawsuit, when none has been made beforehand, e.g. when a person has received services without his/her consent or knowledge and refuses to pay, a court may create a quasi-contract formalizing the exchange of services for money, thus requiring the person to pay.
