Apartment category: Type 602
Type 602 is one of the apartment complex types built in Latvia, i.e a category of Latvian residential property. It has been built starting from 1975 and up until 1980. In the capital city of Riga it is mostly found in the neighbourhoods of Ziepniekkalns, Purvciems, Ķengarags, Vecmīlgrāvis, Pļavnieki, Sarkandaugava, Imanta and Mežciems. It is typically built from expanded clay concrete.
Residential complexes of this type typically have 6 or 9 floors. The height of each floor is 2.5m. Type 602 buildings usually have only recessed balconies (i.e. loggias), but not regular ones. As for additional infrastructure, they typically have an elevator and a garbage chute.
