Apartment category: Type 104
Type 104 is one of the apartment complex types built in Latvia, i.e a category of Latvian residential property. It has been built starting from 1970 and up until present times. In the capital city of Riga it is mostly found in the neighbourhoods of Ziepniekkalns, Pļavnieki, Ķengarags, Purvciems, Iļģuciems, Bolderāja, Mežciems and Zolitūde. It is typically built from autoclaved aerated concrete (external walls) and reinforced concrete (internal load-bearing walls).
Residential complexes of this type typically have 9, 12 or 16 floors. The height of each floor is 2.5m. Type 104 buildings usually have only recessed balconies (i.e. loggias), but not regular ones. As for additional infrastructure, they typically have an elevator and a garbage chute.
